A recent story here from Dayton.com includes photos and information concerning Dayton & Western 602, the only preserved car from that line. The body of car 602, which had been stored in the Ludlow Street bus garage while it was restored by a group of volunteers between 2010 and 2015, has now been placed in an under-construction building known as the "Heritage Center of Regional Leadership." There it will see use as a cafe. While perhaps not the ideal use for an interurban car, the car will at least be indoors and will be fairly well cared for.
D&W 602 is certainly an historic car. Built in 1903 by Barney & Smith, it's one of only nine electric cars built by B&S known to exist. It's also the newest of only four extant B&S-built interurban cars and one of only two (the other being the "Merlin") that is in reasonably good condition. It's also the only car known to exist that was owned by the once-vast Ohio Electric system. The above photo was taken in the bus garage in 2016 by Laddie Vitek.
